Sergey Maiboroda - Leader
Regarded as one of the most virtuoso and charismatic young violinists of his generation, Sergey has won international competitions including Kiev’s Arte del Siglo XXI, Moldova’s Eugene Coca, and the Llangollen International Prize. In 2014, he earned Second Prize at Fórum Musicae in Pozuelo de Alarcón and Violines por la Paz in Málaga, the Jesús de Monasterio Award for best Spanish composer interpretation.
He studied at Madrid’s Reina Sofía School of Music under Marco Rizzi and Sergey Teslya, receiving the Outstanding Student Diploma from Her Majesty the Queen in 2014. Sergey performs in top venues across the world. He has served as the youngest resident soloist with the Odessa Philharmonic, Concertino at Bilbao’s Teatro Arriaga, and with the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, and currently plays with the Gran Teatre del Liceu Orchestra in Barcelona.
